Objectives

As a member of the Executive Team, you will serve as the senior financial executive for Winters Instruments. Through this role, you will be the key point person and thought partner at Winters for all executives on any finance-related issues. You will strategize and manage the complete financial system for Winters and oversee the financial aspect of any mergers, acquisitions, or corporate opportunities.

Responsibilities

·Take responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting to drive the company’s financial strategy

·Coordinate development of annual operating and capital budgets for five global divisions

·Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization

·Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure that the finance team is well-controlled yet flexible to the organization’s needs

·Ensure Winters is compliant with regulatory requirements

·Engage external advisors when necessary to manage global taxation for the Winters group

·Work with external financing groups (Banks) to meet financing requirements, covenant needs

·Analyze internal operations and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement

·Oversee payroll operations by coordinating with external service providers (payroll and benefits) and internal staff responsible for other aspects of HR

·Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare for executive calls and management meetings

·Manage finance and IT teams across Winters divisions

Required skills and qualifications

·Five or more years of experience in leadership roles

·Professional accounting designation (Certified Public Accountant)

·Excellent leadership skills with personal integrity

·Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills

·Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning

·International finance experiences an asset, but not required

·Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains an asset, but not required

·Minimal travel expected
