Job Description

Nordstrong is recognized as one of North America's largest conveyor manufacturing companies, known for its practical, economical, and value-enhancing engineered systems. They are seeking their next VP, Sales & Marketing.


Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing assumes a critical leadership role, leading the company's sales organization across North America. The VP will drive growth, oversee sales and marketing initiatives, and foster strong relationships with distributors, customers, and the internal sales team. They will be a key leader in the development and execution of a comprehensive growth strategy to expand Nordstrong's presence in both the Canadian and US markets.


Position Overview:

  • Participate actively in the senior management team, contributing to the development and execution of overarching business strategies.
  • Continuously monitor and guide the sales team towards achieving and surpassing revenue targets and gross margin goals.
  • Lead and manage a diverse sales team distributed across Canada and the US.
  • Identify new market opportunities, drive market penetration, and contribute to the expansion of Nordstrong's customer base.
  • Oversee all aspects of the sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiations and deal closures.
  • Manage existing distributor relationships and develop new partnerships.
  • Evaluate market dynamics and customer demands to drive the company's growth trajectory in North America.
  • Provide strategic direction for marketing efforts, ensuring alignment with sales goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the senior management team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing diverse sales teams (preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or related industries).
  • Experience with CRM systems and familiarity with ERP systems for order lifecycle tracking.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to foster relationships internally and externally.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
