Job Description

Title: Senior Vice-President

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Duration: Contract


• Manage the implementation of, and adherence to, IFRS standards, including researching and providing guidance to the businesses on accounting issues.

• Provide guidance to the businesses on the impact of new products and/or transactions on the bank’s capital adequacy.

• Participate in the preparation of Board of Directors materials, including business performance analysis, asset and liabilities volumes, and earnings and capital forecasts.

• Assist in the management of regulatory examinations and internal audits.

• Participate in ad hoc projects as required, e.g., researching Basel 3 requirements, automating processes, and/or reengineering reporting activities.

• Proactively responding to changes in the regulatory environment.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned from time-to-time.


Qualifications:

• Strong experince in Regulatory Reporting.

• A professional accounting designation or equivalent experience.

• University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred.

• Five to eight + years of progressive work experience in public accounting or in the financial services industry (with a particular focus on regulatory reporting and process controls).

• Knowledge of banking products and the associated regulatory reporting requirements is required.

• Proven analytic and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated leadership skills, with ability to influence and gain support for objectives.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient computer skills, especially Excel.
