Vice President Human Resources

Our client, a well-known Canadian TSX listed company, is looking for a Vice President, Human Resources to manage all Human Resources functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage learning and development needs and expectations, as well as oversee the creation of training initiatives, systems, and processes to meet workforce goals.
• Lead all day to day HR activities with personnel, compensation and benefits, learning and development, talent acquisition and management including the development of policy and procedure. Manage, update and review the workforce plan and ensure all is aligned with respect to the mines long term needs.
• Provide guidance to other departments to successfully resolve employee relations issues or concerns, while ensuring compliance to company policies and any relevant legislation.
• Develop and maintain the department budget ensuring all needs are accurately accounted for.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and high performance, collaborate with other departments and managers to meet overall timelines and targets.
• Oversee employee compensation practices, including reward and recognition programs to appropriately acknowledge exceptional performance.
• Create and manage the employee review process as well as ensure all documentation is accurate and confidential as required.
