Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Procurement and Property Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing organizational procurement; leading the application of occupational health & safety standards; and oversight of property operations management.
You will lead ourProcurement Strategy! You will lead tendering, negotiating and awarding vendor contracts; developing evaluation criteria and evaluation of supplier responses; managing the contractual process to award of contract and change; developing supplier risk plans and liaise with other colleagues as appropriate. Manage vendor and related stakeholder relationships, develop and implement of the procurement plan to ensure all procured goods, works or services are within the approved budget. While leading our social procurement strategy you will monitorcompliance with internal procurement policies and standards, code of conduct, operating guidelines and external regulations and provide reports of procurement-related risks to the executive team.
You willbuild strong relationshipswith Open Door Group employees, contractors, and the public. As the Procurement and Operations Manager you will also use youradministrationskills to support with the coordinate, negotiate and manage first and subsequent lease drafts from initiation to execution. Prepare accurate and timely quarterly reports, annual operating and capital budgets, and forecasts for annual operating expenses. Maintain Health and Safety documentation for building related records, ensuring regulatory compliance with WorkSafe standards and safety regulations. Plan, develop, recommend and implement new or revised policies and programs relevant to office site operations and procurement to meet the needs of Open Door Group.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management,or other relevant discipline.
Experience and Knowledge
- Exemplary customer service standards
- Ability to effectively use MS Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel
- 3 years relevant, recent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in procurement and logistics management
- Possess a good understanding of facility infrastructure and asset management
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment with staff, general public, community groups, tradesmen and contractors
- Ability to prioritize tasks affecting the operation of facilities
- Demonstrated ability to plan, monitor and maintain projects and budgets
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise independence of judgment and action
- Good understanding of safe work policy and procedure and a demonstrated ability to ensure the facilities are maintained with public and staff safety in mind.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others and to provide direction, coaching, and guidance as required
Working Conditions
- Travel within British Columbia will be required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours on occasion.
- Must have the ability to work on a computer for extended period.
Special Conditions of Employment
- Required to pass a criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check.
