**Job Opportunity: Contracts and Vendor Management Specialist**

As a Contracts and Vendor Management Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining our commitment to excellence and compliance. Your expertise will enable us to drive innovation, build lasting partnerships, and effectively manage risks. Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the contracts and vendor management program. Leverage your subject matter expertise to mitigate conflicts, manage contract risks, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance and Expert Guidance: Ensure adherence to purchasing regulations and certifications while providing expert guidance to line of business teams. Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to achieve optimal business outcomes.
- System Training and Management: Take ownership of the procurement and contract management systems. Conduct training for internal stakeholders on system usage and reporting capabilities. Educate external suppliers on enrollment and utilization of the vendor portal.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with both internal and external parties to identify needs, challenges, and opportunities. Develop and implement process and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Data Accuracy and Reporting: Act as the custodian of central procurement and contract management data registries. Maintain accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data. Generate regulatory and compliance reports for various stakeholders, including regulators, Board, and management committees.
- Strategic Contract Negotiations: Provide invaluable advice on financial risk and obligations during the negotiation of complex goods and services contracts. Apply contract law and policy expertise to ensure optimal value and risk mitigation.
- Contract Renewal and Reporting: Lead the line of business in reporting on expiring critical contracts. Support managers in successful contract renegotiations in alignment with company's Risk Appetite Framework (RAF). Generate annual procurement-related reports and provide documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of contract law and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, CIPS) are a plus.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in procurement, contract management, and vendor relations.
- Proven track record in process improvement and driving operational excellence.
