The Role

We're seeking an exceptional IT Procurement Specialist to take charge of our company's software and hardware acquisition process. As a vital member of our team, you'll be reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology and working closely with stakeholders across the organization, including Finance, Legal, Information Security, various purchase requesters and Information Technology team.

Your role will be to ensure purchase requests are within budget and meet our Legal and Security requirements while following our procurement policy to handle all IT software and hardware acquisition requests.

Key Responsibilities

• As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the company's software list to ensure it is updated with vendor contact information, business owner information, amount, and renewal dates
• Notifying software owners of renewal and coordinating the renewal process
• Negotiating with vendors on pricing and terms to maximize cost savings.
• Evaluating software applications with cross-functional use and identifying potential opportunities to merge different software applications
• Coordinating with various stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Information Security, various Departments heads) on all IT software and hardware acquisition requests and ensuring appropriate steps and approvals in the procurement cycle are completed in an efficient manner
• Working closely with our AP team to ensure proper approval of purchases prior to procurement and ensure proper records maintenance for purchase orders, goods receipts, and vendor bills
• Submit monthly credit card expense reports relating to software and hardware purchases
• You’ll be adept at building relationships and leveraging your communication skills to negotiate with vendors and coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome for our company.

Who You Are

• You have a post-secondary degree in Business or a related field
• You are experienced with asset management systems
• You have 2+ years of experience in a procurement role in the technology industry
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
• You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support a rapidly growing technology company with multiple moving parts
• You have good analytical and organizational skills
