ABB Smart Buildings digitally transforms commercial, industrial and residential buildings for the highest comfort, efficiency, safety and security - enhancing quality of life in buildings of the future through safe, smart and sustainable electrification solutions, services and products.ABB is looking for a new dynamic manager having experience in supply management and logistics. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will have the mandate with his team to manage efficiently the planning and procurement of material, the logistic and the inventory to support the business unit, including the local production at the Montreal Campus. He will also maintain healthy business relations with the various suppliers, while ensuring proper control.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the availability, inventory turnover rate and obsolescence.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.
• Provide stock reports and analysis on a timely manner and assist in the development of action plans for obsolete goods
• Manage business relationships with the suppliers and customers (internal and external).
• Negotiate agreements with suppliers.
• Working in conjunction with the production manager, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams, in order to ensure a healthy production cadence.
• Develop, implement and manage strategic initiatives to strengthen the entire supply chain in "lean" environment.
• Ensure efficient inventory management in the Montreal Campus warehouse.
• Manage the various activities related to material management and procurement.

Your background

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, material and component flow and information management principles
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Access; SAP is an asset.
• Bilingualism (English, French)
• Bachelor's degree in administration, operations management and/or logistics
• Business acumen
• Experience in the field of electrical components (preferred)
• Ability to develop proactive relationships with various business partners
• Strongly motivated by success and eager to work in a demanding environment
• Ability to manage a team of 4 to 6 members
• 5 to 8 eight years of experience in these fields
