The role:

Reporting to the COO, the Manager of Contracts and Procurement is responsible for contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, and developing strong relationships with suppliers. You will work closely with the leadership team as well as various departments to assist them in streamlining their procurement strategies and reducing inefficiencies.

The ideal candidate for this role will have an Engineering degree, experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, strong negotiation skills, and impeccable attention to detail. You will excel in a multi-disciplinary team environment, working with internal and external stakeholders.

Your main tasks will include:

• Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key vendors.
• Implementing best practices for contract structuring, administration, and compliance with industry standards.
• Proactively identifying opportunities and delivering solutions that improve inter-department procurement efficiency, secure competitive pricing, and optimize lead times.
• Managing the full life cycle of procurement for high-value industrial equipment: coordinating with Engineering to develop technical specifications; preparing RFPs and Purchase Order packages; pricing and terms negotiation, contract finalization.
• Proactively managing financial, scope, and schedule risk: identification, mitigation, and escalation when required.

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills in English.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement and contracts management within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Experience in supplier management.
• Ability to create and maintain highly efficient, strong, and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven record of effective negotiation skills.
• Experience using procurement/ERP software.
• Engineering degree and relevant experience.
