Lead Project Contracts Procurement Jobs

Management/Supervisory roles will require more of the qualifications and minimum 10 years experience, preferably in public sector.

At least 1 year of experience in contract preparation and/or management.

Knowledge of risk management, contract management and public sector procurement principles.

Providing advice and guidance to contract managers on matters of contract management and controls.

Establishes a Procurement and Contract Management Framework to achieve consistency, accountability and sound stewardship of corporate resources.

Recommends improvements to corporate contract management policies, processes, practices and clauses; submits to legal counsel for review and approval.

3-5 years’ work experience administering tenders, public procurements, or contract management experience in a supply chain capacity or related field

Certifications in contract management and/or procurement an asset

Define procurement and contract recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

Determine the optimal tendering approach leading to the coordination, preparation and management of procurement document packages.

Advises operational groups on the interpretation and application of procurement and contract management policies, procedures and guidelines

Knowledge and experience with Ontario public sector procurement directive an asset

-Project management experience along with a proven track record identifying, planning, and

University degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration is ideal

Recommend changes that facilitate and improve contract management.

PMP certification is strongly preferred.

Over 5 years’ experience in the following areas:

Previous experience interpreting and applying policies and procedures as well as the ability to make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Working knowledge with project management software and management information systems

Post-secondary education in commerce, business administration, management or related field

Project management certifications would be an asset, such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM); or, Project Management Professional (PMP)

Your skills, experience and qualifications:

Assisting in the development of project management documents such as budgets, schedules, scope statements, and project plans

Previous experience with an architectural firm, or in a similar role would be a strong asset

5+ years of experience in strategic procurement and contracts management within an industrial/manufacturing setting.

Proven record of effective negotiation skills.

Engineering degree and relevant experience.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills in English.

10 plus years Procurement and Contracts management experience in EPCM/EPC; experience in the Mining and Metals sector is an asset.

Maintain a primary interface with the project manager and project team on all procurement and contracts management matters.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Procurement and Contracts, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred

Manages relationships with suppliers, including negotiations, frame agreements and purchase orders

Manage the project expediting, site warehousing and logistics function.
