THE POSITION
Keyera has an exciting new opportunity within the oil, NGL and gas infrastructure industry for top industry talent to contribute, influence and grow with the company. 
The Liquids Infrastructure SCM Team Lead will be responsible for providing guidance, direction, organization, and development to / of the Contracts & Procurement (C&P) team across the LI Business Unit.
In collaboration with the Materials Management Team Lead and Manager, SCM Operations, this role will provide leadership and support to the operations supply chain management team to drive improvement and diligence in processes, organization, team dynamics, cross pollination and staff development during a period of transformation in the department on its journey towards supply chain excellence. The transformation is one built on driving value for the business and instituting a culture shift towards cost scrutiny and integrity within a framework of ensuring safety, commercial, technical and quality are foundational to the business and in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position is based out of the LI regional office in Sherwood Park with travel to the other LI office locations on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
  • Liaison between the SCM management team in the Calgary head office and field (C&P team and stakeholders) to promote and steward change management within the context of governance / control and supply chain maturation, effectively communicating key messages and business implications
  • Working collaboratively, assist in the development and implementation of Source to Pay Supply Chain processes, procedures and standards that promote consistency, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Successfully deliver organization, coordination, guidance and leadership to the C&P staff within LI Operations locations to promote consistent, efficient and effective C&P activities. This includes progressing towards cradle to grave contracting including such activities as: planning, sourcing, negotiation, forming, post award contract management, contract resolution, and close outs.
  • Lead and assist a team of decentralized buyers with a mix of skillsets and experience to execute contracting and procurement activities of services and goods of varying risk and spend for the various sites within the Liquids Infrastructure (LI) Business Unit in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure all SCM policies and procedures are understood and followed as intended both to the Operations C&P team and stakeholders involved
  • Support and enable performance and development of team members within Keyera’s SCM framework, focused on enhancing the supply chain function to improve rigor, sophistication (ie. from tactical buying to strategic sourcing), efficiency, standardization, and integrity in order to generate value and minimize / mitigate risk within the business, facilitated by a commitment to teamwork and collaboration. This includes both within the Operations Procurement team and supporting the centralized Category Management team to execute supplier optimization across the business.
Qualifications
  • Aptitude for systems and processes
  • 10 years of Supply Chain Management experience in heavy industry (energy, mining, processing, etc). Oil & gas is an asset.
  • Proven relationship builder; able to navigate the organization and rally the appropriate resources behind critical business initiatives.
  • Extensive experience with application of mature, best practices in contracting and procurement, tools, processes

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Experience with change management including managing stakeholder relations, all while inspiring and encouraging team and individual growth.
