Full Time, Contract (2 years)

CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Team Lead, Come to Work! Reporting to the Manager, Programs & Operations, the Team Lead, Come to Work will motivate and inspire the Come to Work Alberta team. Specifically, this position will provide guidance to team members on their deliverables, as well as track and support the team’s goals specifically in relation to government reporting. The Team Lead, CTW, will work with the Manager or Provincial Director on special projects.


Your impact at CNIB


  • Work collaborative with the Manager, Programs & Operations, on program delivery and evaluation, ensuring the meeting of targeting and deliverables as outlined in required contracts.
  • Provide guidance to the Alberta CTW team during team meetings and regular one-on-one check-ins, where you actively listen to team members’ feedback and resolve issues, while keeping the Manager appraised.
  • Support the Manager, Programs & Operations in delegating tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring the team is adhering to service standards.
  • Support with reporting on deliverables both internally and externally, creating and pulling reports as required
  • Create a team environment where staff and volunteers are motivated and inspired.
  • Ensures compliance with CNIB’s policies and procedures.
  • Identify training needs.
  • Ensure proper tracking and input of data by CTW Team in both Salesforce & Mobius
  • Monitor team performance and report on goals


Requirements


Who you are:


  • Experience creating reports or contract summaries specifically in regard to government is considered an asset
  • Professional attitude, self-starter and adaptable to a dynamic organization.
  • Well organized and excellent coordination skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
  • Good relationship/ team builder and ability to manage a diverse team
  • Passionate champion of diversity, accessibility, and inclusion issues.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proven success in motivating and inspiring teams of staff and volunteers.


We want to hear from you if you have:


  • Experience working with Mobius system is considered an asset.
  • Experience or proficiency working with Salesforce is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
  • 1 – 2 years of supervisory or volunteer management.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience ini job development, career coaching, program development, delivery, and implementation and/or project management within a charity/not-for-profit organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database computer applications
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is an asset.


Work Environment


  • Occasional travel as required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
