THE ROLE
The Communications & Brand Team Lead plays a critical role in leading the marketing and communications efforts for Trimac. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of marketing strategies, brand development, and effective communication techniques.
Reporting to the Director, Culture & Communications, the Communications & Brand Team Lead will oversee a team and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the company's brand identity is effectively communicated both internally and externally.
WHO YOU ARE
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.
- Knowledge of WordPress/HTML is considered an asset.
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google AdWords is considered an asset.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting and proofreading abilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing social media channels and analytics tools for effective marketing campaigns.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand and address stakeholders' needs.
- Highly creative, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
- Excellent planning, time management, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in video editing and creation, including filming, editing, and post-production.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry is considered an asset.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of brand strategy and development.
- In-depth knowledge of content marketing principles and practices.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Lead and manage a team of marketing and communications professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in executing marketing initiatives.
- Collect information and create engaging content for a weekly newsletter.
- Execute Trimacs' marketing and communications strategy to enhance the company's brand identity and visibility.
- Plan and coordinate employee and hiring events, working closely with the HR team to ensure successful execution.
- Monitor social media channels, manage social media content and campaigns, and analyze social media metrics for continuous improvement.
- Oversee the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, social media, content marketing, and SEO strategies.
- Create and publish engaging content for various platforms and mediums, such as press releases, website content, newsletters, speeches, ad copy, and case studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Human Resources, to align marketing and communications efforts with the company's overall objectives.
- Create and edit engaging video content for various platforms, including filming, editing, and post-production.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels, working collaboratively to deliver effective communication strategies.
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Manage the production of marketing materials, including graphic design (print and digital), ensuring they align with the brand guidelines and messaging.
- Manage the company's website and intranet, ensuring up-to-date and relevant content.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications roles, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Completion of post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
