WORK-INTEGRATED LEARNING (WIL) TEAM LEAD

NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone dedicated to finding ways forward to join our Work-Integrated Learning and Career Education Centre (WILCEC) team as a WIL Team Lead.
Reporting to the Academic Program Manager, WILCEC is looking for a highly motivated, compassionate, and student-focused WIL Team Lead to support the department in finding ways forward in intentionally courageous ways. This position supports students to meet their career goals by providing innovative and strategic leadership to the WILCEC Career Coaches to move the WILCEC vision of maximizing student empowerment through experience and education forward.
How You'll Make a Difference

• Focus on students’ workforce relevance, including ways to demonstrate and meet student’s preferred outcomes, incorporating the college’s strategic initiatives, and focusing on government priorities.
• Develop and operationalize new initiatives to connect students to industry to increase WIL for students through workshops and skill development assessments.
• Engage and lead the WIL team in WILCEC to support Career Coaches so that they can provide excellent supports to students.
• Create innovative approaches for engaging all stakeholders: students, faculty, and employer-partners.
• Collaborate with WILCEC Leadership to start small and think big to find ways forward.

What You Bring

• Leadership experience and a willingness to support your team using the NorQuest Qs.
• 3+ years previous experience supporting students in working toward their goals through career coaching, Work-Integrated Learning, or a similar field.
• A Degree in management, education, or a related field.
• Previous experience working with diverse students and different demographics and a focus on providing individualized support for each student.
• Passion and experience with team support, onboarding, organizing, and streamlining.

• Bold curiosity and a willingness to learn new technology and previous experience with ESAT, Moodle, Articulate 360, Orbis, and Peoplesoft.
• Dependability to oversee an important and growing area in WILCEC.

SALARY: $66,796-$86,736 annually, reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
