The Group is active in all segments of the aerospace industry (commercial, regional, business and military aircraft), in two areas of activity: Aerostructures and Interconnection Systems. The Group employs over 5,000 people in 15 countries.
In November 2022, Latecoere completed the acquisition of Canadian-domiciled Avcorp Industries, becoming Latecoere’s Aerostructures Canadian unit.
General Summary
We are currently looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to support the team in planning, managing, and administering projects. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations functions to define the Project objectives and work with functional leads, resolve cross-functional conflicts, and drive rigorous coordination and execution. This role is highly collaborative with business teams, technical teams, senior leadership, suppliers, and customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Project initiation includes defining the project’s goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structure, milestones and deliverables.
- Establish communication schedules to update stakeholders in the organization and external customers on the progress of Projects.
- Conducts formal review with business sponsor at project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction
- Monitoring project team timesheet reporting to ensure proper project accounting
- Provides work direction and leadership to assigned project team, including scheduling, assignment of work, review of project efforts and removal of roadblocks which may inhibit project success.
- Facilitate project meetings and work with operations team to help with conflict resolution
- Manages expectations and foster excellent communication in a collaborative environment
- Evaluate and work with the Project team to approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases, as directed by company and customer procedures.
- Other duties and special projects as requested by the Project Sponsors
- Ensure that Project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
- Propose, design, plan, execute and evaluate projects according to the company’s Project Management Process
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and team leadership by owning initiative KPIs, delivering on them successfully and communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders
- Focus and engage all team members to align with the objectives, commitments, culture and values of the company; support high performance work teams that meet customer commitments
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which Projects will be evaluated at completion
- Participate in weekly/monthly Project status updates
- Project planning using appropriate software tools and templates, monitors scope, schedule, budget and other key aspects to ensure successful project delivery
- Monitor the progress of Projects and make adjustment as necessary to ensure successful completion
Basic Qualifications
- Successfully completed a series of low to medium dollar value projects
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business with 3 -5 years of experience in Project Management
- A distinct results orientation combined with outstanding communication, interpersonal and team building skills
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Knowledge of all project management functions, including design, contracts, procurement of services and project accounting
- Ability to obtain CGD clearance & verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- Experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, and change management processes
- MS Office Suite skills are required (MS Project, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Great analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of company personnel, suppliers and customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Active PMP designation is an asset
- Understanding of Aerospace quality systems, procedures, and terminology
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and well versed with various manufacturing processes
- Eligible to obtain P.Eng form EGBC
- Good understanding of supporting functions: Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain Management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
