Procurement Supervisor - Plaza Premium Lounge - Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

To be responsible for the supervision and execution of day-to-day operations of Procurement. To manage and plan for all aspects of the Food/Non-Food Procurement operations of PPG in Canada; and oversee and make measurable improvements for the Procurement function.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Handle internal and external audit over ISO certification & Food Safety Management System.
• Liaise with internal parties on purchasing needs on goods and services, and carry out procurement activities
• To utilize the quantity leverage, tender for the high volume, high price and common purchase items and have the price locked for an agreed period of time
• Cover F&B, OS&E, FF&E, Facilities Management, Marketing and Repair & Maintenance purchases; and procure materials and services that meet PPG quality standards and local government & airport standards
• Provide support and analysis to Finance Director, Canada and Global Procurement Director to manage the procurement activities in Canada in accordance with PPG Policies and procedures.
• Liaise with GSC teams to ensure that they are aware of the local strategies, and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data in the CheckSCM inventory system.
• Carry out a full spectrum of procurement services including PO, Reporting, Vendor and Cost Management
• Work on any ad-hoc projects and procurement assignments shared by Finance Director and Global Procurement Director based on the business needs.
• Work closely with the Operations team to effectively manage the supply of goods while ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with group procurement standards and policies.
• Work with Operation, Store and Logistics to review current practices to apply appropriate changes at ever-changing airport environment.
• Provide purchasing support to logistics, kitchen, lounge, warehouse and storage services
• Source and procure Food & Beverage and OS&E items in accordance with the material specifications, quality standard and timelines shared by the stakeholders.
• Monitor the suppliers’ performance and recommend suggestions for improvement
• Work with GSC Procurement team to manage vendors, procurement activities and cost management in the CheckSCM inventory system.

Job Requirements:

• Self-motivated, independent, proactive and able to deliver quality results under tight schedules
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced skills in Outlook, Word and Excel
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Degree or Diploma in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
• Good problem solving, communication, leadership & negotiation skills
• Sourcing (RFI/RFQ/RFP) experience and presentable reporting skills
• Previous experience with Check SCM/ Peoplesoft / SAP or other Procurement systems desired
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in F&B / Hotel/ Aviation hospitality industry
