We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and abilities:

Proven and extensive expertise leading sourcing initiatives, processes and developing strategies (i.e. deal management, contract review and negotiations, RFX, etc.)

Must be able to work collaboratively within the procurement team as well as customers, stakeholders, suppliers, and senior management.

Lead and manage the sourcing process for high visibility, high risk, high spend initiatives.

Lead procurement contracting activities within the Business Services spend category.

Knowledge & experience of Quality Management systems like ISO-9001

Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) – an asset.

Ability to interact at all levels of the organization including with senior management.

8 -10 years of experience in a similar subject area

Strong writing and verbal communications skills.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

At least 15 years of experience in contract management

Leading the delivery of procurement services and providing strategic direction on contract management and delivery

Contributing to business management and resource planning across the organization

Overseeing the operational financial management of the organization relating to administration, policies, processes, procedures, systems and practices

Post-secondary education in engineering, architecture, construction, or a similar field

At least 10 years of experience in a similar, leadership role

Understand project coordination and management.

Experience supporting projects, especially in remote locations would be considered an asset.

Use the SAP system to accurately input and manage purchase requisitions for materials, products, and services.

1-2 years of procurement experience.

Experience in mining is an asset.

Experience with a variety of ERP systems, including SAP would be considered an asset.

3. Records and Document Management

Purchasing Management Association of Canada designation or training is an asset.

Responsible for ensuring that Certificates of Insurance and Police Clearance Certificates are current and managed appropriately.

Reports on lessons learned to the Procurement Manager.

Running RFx’s: Previous experience leading multiple competitive bid events for indirect sourcing projects.

Dealing with Disorder: Knowledge of tactics and ability to function effectively in the face of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.

Experience in applying in-depth knowledge of best practices and procedures normally used in the procurement process;

Experience in dealing with complex procurement projects and issues;

Experience developing work plans and in writing briefing notes and reports;

Experience coaching and mentoring of procurement specialists.

Mastery in Purchasing with extensive experience in Supply chain and Logistics management

Report to the Project's senior leadership team at regular intervals on Supplier performance, critical issues, change management and/or mitigation activities

Lead procurement and logistics organization and establish process and procedures including the identification and implementation of a configuration management tool

Experience with bringing up emerging technologies in automotive, fuel cells or the renewable space

Strong experience with MS Office Suite of products

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
