Description


Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to work on a 6 month contract with a possibility that the contract could convert into a permanent full-time position. The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager are:


  • Onboarding and terminating properties
  • Oversee property accounting for Strata, Rental, Commercial, NPO and Co-op properties
  • Managing and mentoring a small team of 5 staff
  • Preparing/managing annual Trust Audit


Requirements


The ideal candidate is a designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years of property management experience for Strata, Rental, Commercial, Non-Profit, and Co-op properties. You also have the following key criteria for the job:


  • Good understanding of AR & AP and Yardi Voyageur
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience onboarding & terminating properties as well as preparing/managing annual Trust Audit
  • Fast learner
  • Detail-oriented and have a commitment to team culture
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adjust and work with different people
  • Strong communication skills and able to converse with non-Finance people
