Ontario Line South
Our team is mobilizing its design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?

• One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
• Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
• A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
• Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown.

Payroll Coordinator - Are you the perfect fit?
Are you an experienced Payroll professional with experience working in the construction industry and interpreting construction ICI collective agreements? Ontario Transit Group is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team for the Ontario Line South project.
What you will undertake:

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accurate data management
• Assist with year-end payroll reports and tax filings
• Maintain employee payroll records and files
• Enter payroll data into the payroll system and reconcile payroll reports
• Ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions in compliance with company policies and collective bargaining agreements
• Stay up-to-date on changes to payroll laws and regulations

Qualifications
What do we ask for?

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in payroll, accounting, or a related field preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Minimum of 4 years experience working with and interpreting construction ICI collective agreements
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll administration
• Strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements and labor laws and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
