About the Role
KEV Software is seeking an outgoing individual to fill a permanent Payroll/Accounting Coordinator position within our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Director of Finance. They will be responsible for processing payroll through ADP Workforce Now and ADP Run, most accounts payable duties including invoice entry, payment submission for release to vendors, vendor management, and A/P reporting. In addition, this individual will assist with the preparation of daily worksheet to the general ledger and entry of transactions into the GL, ensuring files are complete and maintained as needed, and will have the opportunity to take part in special projects and initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
General
- Perform process payroll, admin of benefits through on and off boarding of employees, accounting (invoicing and reconciliations) and clerical functions to support the Accounting Department
Payroll and Benefits
- Process semi-monthly payroll with excellent knowledge of legislative payroll requirements and payroll accounting for 100+ employees in multiple locations
- Update Benefits providers on a timely basis as part of the on/off boarding process
Accounting
- Assist with preparation and distribution of Customer invoicing
- Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Assist with Daily Cash reconciliations of Merchant accounts
- Prepare worksheets & spreadsheets, general journal entries, and record transactions to the accounting software
Other
- Assist in special projects and initiatives
- Other duties will be assigned as required
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- The ability to work well independently
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting support role for a large company
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A strong work ethic, diligence, and commitment
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Software environment is considered an asset
- Meticulous record keeping skills and strong attention to detail
- Completion of a College Diploma in Accounting.
- The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel and its functionality at an intermediate level
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Previous experience in ADP Workforce Now is preferred
- A minimum of 2 years processing payroll is required
- Strong working knowledge of Accounting practices
