Your Role and Responsibilities


This position resides in Montreal, Quebec and is a 4-month work term commencing September 2023. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.


  • Work in conjunction with the system and solution integration specialists on operations tools and processes.
  • Undertake projects independently to assist the operations team.
  • Assist with technical support for IBM Payment Center applications by providing support to customers via JIRA ticketing, phone and email.
  • Document bugs and issues encountered clearly and concisely in the JIRA ticketing system.
  • Help the team document the various technical procedures for the sound management of Expertus environments.
  • Diagnose customer incident tickets through a process of incident and problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Prioritize requests and ensure that requests are followed up.
  • Collaborate with systems and database administrators to maintain technology and application environments.
  • Assist with transferring service calls (dispatch).


Required Technical and Professional Expertise


  • Linux (functional level)
  • Cloud-based computing (basic knowledge)
  • Credit Check Required
  • Microsoft Windows Server (functional level)
  • Must be eligible to work 4 months starting in September


Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise


  • ITSM such as a Wiki or the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • Scripting knowledge (Ansible, Bash, Perl, Powershell)
  • Knowledge in AWS cloud-based computing environments
  • Java and Python knowledge
  • Monitoring solution knowledge (Nagios Core, Nagios Xi , Nagios Log Sever, Pagerduty, logstash, elasticsearch)
  • Knowledge in Windows servers and Linux environments (AIX , CentOs, RedHat)
  • Networking knowledge (VPN, DNS)
  • Registered in a Coop/internship program
  • Slack
  • SQL knowledge (formulating requests)

Location Statement

This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions.
