L3 It Support Professional (Fortinet)

Our reputable Managed IT Client is seeking a skilled Level 3 IT Support Professional to join their team. We are looking for a dedicated individual with strong technical expertise and a passion for providing exceptional support to our clients.

REMOTE

Salary: $90,000 - 105,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Fortinet network security appliances, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems
• Log 80% of daily time activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Perform onsite and remote troubleshooting of hardware, software, and networking issues for various clients
• Provide guidance, support, and escalation assistance to junior technicians
• Occasional after-hours work and on-call availability may be required.
• Assemble, image, and configure client workstations, laptops, and servers
• Monitor and manage the central ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of issues
• Follow and develop checklists for routine and common tasks
• Offer level 3 technical support at the desktop, server, and network levels, including installation, upgrading, troubleshooting, and replacement

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License and full access to a reliable vehicle
• Strong research skills for a wide range of computing tech support issues
• Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check
• 5+ years of relevant experience (preferably in a managed IT services (MSP) environment)

Technical Requirements:

• Strong troubleshooting skills for printers, scanners, and various peripherals
• Expertise in installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server (2003-2019), including Active Directory
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V
• Experience with backup hardware, including tape drives, USB drives, and Disk-to-disk systems
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, including Azure
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, and super subnetting
• Proficient in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Fortinet network security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, and associated components, while adhering to best practices and ensuring network integrity.
• Knowledge of networking hardware, including Fortinet, routers, NG firewalls, switches, and VPN appliances
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Gmail, and other email applications
