Professional Sr, Engineering – Structural/System Integrator

In your role, you will:

• Support directly other engineering and operations departments.
• Provide input to design change impact analysis (technical, cost, schedule).
• Generate 3D EWIS harness design proposals.
• Generate and execute weight saving design change ideas.
• Support design and program reviews with partner/suppliers.
• Provide technical solutions to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
• Provide status to project and functional management.
• Review systems layouts, installations, assembly, and detail drawings.
• Support selection of EWIS components.
• Interface with harness manufacturer, aircraft interiors, methods, stress, systems, interiors, and support functions such as thermodynamics, mass properties, etc.
• Manage design changes through all the cycles of the change management process.

As our ideal candidate,

• You have a technologist or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/Electrical/aerospace engineering or aerospace technical field plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in aerospace or related industry.
• You have knowledge of CATIA V5 (including electrical workbenches), Enovia and MS Office is required.
• You are fluent in English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
• You are an energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, who is willing to accept responsibilities and act independently in a high-pressure partner/supplier team.
• You have a strong knowledge of aircraft systems installation: configuration, preliminary sizing, design for manufacturing, detail design (EWIS 3D, segregation/separation rules, component assembly), Electrical Schematic, Wiring Diagram, certification requirements, weight control and aircraft industry design standards.
