Job Title : Engineer

Location: Montreal ( Office attendance from Day 1 - Hybrid Mode)

Description:The engineer will be responsible for evaluating, engineering, designing, and troubleshooting enterprise scale Data Centre networks. As part of the Network Engineering team the engineer is required to collaborate with the Enterprise Computing team, Security team and End-User technologies to understand the applications and provide end to end network solution as per the firm network standards. This includes selecting the right platforms, developing Bill of Material (BoM), designing new network topologies, creating, and maintaining Visio diagrams, configuration templates, assigning and maintaining IP address, developing migration plan, and providing weekend escalation support for involved project

Responsibilities

Authoring of design documents, engineering standards and creates best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends

Act as a lead engineer for the Data center design and build

Act as a lead network engineer in data center application migration process and ensure full network availability and security during and after migration is completed

Mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members across the organization.

Participating in the weekly design meetings

Engaging with project managers to develop the execution and test plans for network changes.

Serve as an escalation for the operating teams during network outages.

Ability to work both independently and as a team member is essential.

Strong presentation skills are imperative to be able explain network design, articulate risk, and facilitate decision making.

Strong security focus and experience with Network Security Concepts and Multi-tier Security architectures.
