Job Title: Application Support Engineer

Client: Algortihmic Trading firm

Salary: $90,000 - $160,000 (depending on experience)

Tech: Python/Bash/Shell, Linux, SQL, Networking fundamentals

The role:

• You'll be working on some of the most complex trading applications in Montreal in a small tech firm run by programmers, you will learn far more than you could at bigger firms where pigeon-holing is commonplace.
• Monitor/optimise/support whole trade lifecycle across the global trading platform

The right candidate looks like:

• Proficient with Linux
• Python, SQL fluency
• Application Support experience

Nice to have:

• Automation/Infra as code - Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Puppet, Salt, etc
• Networking understanding - TCP/IP, multicast etc
• Monitoring/Observability tools: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana
• Multi-threading, distributed systems, low latency experience
