Salary: Up to $160k CAD + Bonus

Location: Montreal (Hybrid working available)

How You Will Make An Impact….

As a Python Data Engineer, you will join a small team working on crucial low-latency systems. From integrating new data sources to increasing the throughput of existing systems by orders of magnitude, you will solve hard problems.

As a technologist, you will learn how to build and scale reliable data services with high requirements on data quality and reliability. Your success can make an impact on dozens of researchers working on different products across the firm.

You will monitor, report and fix issues with data quality of existing streams. Build a system to index and quickly search news articles on specific topics and keywords, and more.

You’ll Be Right At Home If You Have….

-Great communication skills – talk to other technologists, speak to data vendors.

-Willingness to jump and ability to prioritize between 100s of projects

-Have worked at a startup!

-Track record of delivering solutions to problems.

-Python/SQL experience preferred (2-7 years)

-Fantastic Computer Science Fundamentals
