Job Title: Trading Application Engineer - finance experience essential

Client: Algorithmic Trading firm

Salary: $100,000 - $180,000 (depending on experience)

Tech: FIX Protocol, Linux, SQL, Python/Bash/Shell, Networking fundamentals, Monitoring skills

The role:

• Monitor/optimise/support whole trade lifecycle across the global trading platform
• You'll be working on some of the most complex trading applications in New York City in a small tech firm run by programmers, you will learn far more than you could at bigger firms where pigeon-holing is commonplace.

The right candidate will have experience with:

• Linux/UNIX
• Monitoring skills
• FIX Protocol

Nice to have:

• Networking understanding - TCP/IP, multicast etc
• Multi-threading, distributed systems, low latency experience
