The position at a glance
To ensure continuity and guarantee the quality of OMR Back Office application (SS&C-based vendor) handling the ALMT activity and to manage the maintenance, Application Analysts’ have the following responsibilities:
  • Ensure that applications work properly, are maintained and upgraded
  • Suggest optimizations and ways to improve efficiency
  • Adapt the action plan for service continuity
  • Provide coverage for the application between 8 AM – 8 PM on business days (rotation in place)
  • Apply the obsolescence management plan guidelines
  • Support the application outside business hours (on-call rotation) and perform releases outside business hours (including weekends)
In detail
The Application Analyst can intervene in all or some of the following activities:
Ensure that the OMR application works properly, is maintained and upgraded
  • Ensure the continuity of Data consistency and optimization
  • Ensure that objectives of the action plan for their scope of applications are achieved
  • Provide the Business with quality support
  • Apply the guidelines of the obsolescence management plan and guarantee that all the components are supported by the service providers
  • Respond to incidents and occasional Business enhancement requests, ensuring that their implementation complies with the consistency of the application portfolio
  • Control the quality of work and verify that it complies with application portfolio plans
  • Ensure the consistency of the go-live version (up-to-date documentation, configuration management set up, all the tests performed, risks identified and controlled)
  • Comply with and enforce the norms and standards in use: engineering rules, architecture rules, security norms
  • Manage upgrades for applications in their scope
Suggest optimizations and ways to improve efficiency
  • Use the internal Cloud at best to automate installations and improve time to market.
  • Help develop roadmaps in their scope of applications
  • Where required, propose and implement initiatives/have them carried out to simplify applications and to automate tasks
  • Analyze incidents and propose preventive action plans for improvement
Adapt the action plan for service continuity
  • Carry out optimization actions in connection with the service continuity plan
  • Produce a summary of stress testing campaigns and make technical recommendations, with respect for the consistency of the application portfolio
  • Carry out stress testing campaigns that are included in the service continuity plan so as to determine the application behavior of systems that process target volumes
Identify best practices and share them in their entity and within the Group
The Strengths And Skills That Will Help You Succeed
  • Understanding of the production and formatting of SWIFT messages
  • Knowledge of various languages (SQL, Java), Oracle and Linux
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices
  • 7-10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a Production Support Role
  • Knowledge of analysis and/or design standards, methods and tools
  • Project management skills
  • Proficient in the main challenges related to Data and its management
  • Knowledge of the English language is required
  • Excellent communication skills, interacting with business users, IT and senior management
  • Knowledge of Product/Process Quality and security standards
  • Knowledge of ALM Treasury activities and financial products (FX, MM, interest rate products, securities)
  • Knowledge of Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) methodological practices
  • Proficient in IS fundamentals
  • Knowledge of OMR is a plus
  • Understanding of Back Office role
  • Use of industry standard tools (Service Now/ITSM, Jira) is a plus
