Senior Project Manager - Project Penny Order Based Business Build

Description

Project Penny is the TELUS-wide program envelope for copper decommissioning activities. Penny will address network optimization with the goal to eliminate dual support cost structures between the Copper and Fibre network, fully unleashing the benefits of our generational investment in our PureFibre network. We are scaling the program and seeking team members to be part of one of the most transformational projects at TELUS.

Join our team:

• Located within our Customer Network Implementation (CNI) team, Program Penny will be responsible for the development and execution of our one network strategy
• We will address network optimization across the entire wireline asset portfolio with the goal to eliminate dual support cost structures between the Copper and Fibre network, unleashing the benefits of our generational investment in our PureFibre network
• This work will also help transform customer experience, field delivery and network quality and reliability metrics in our new Fibre dominant footprint
• We are focused on aligning key stakeholders across the organization to accelerate the journey to Fibre, optimize our Central Office (CO) footprint, enable power cost savings and ultimately shut down our Copper network across communities

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together:

• Managing conflicting priorities, risks and mitigation while maintaining delivery timelines
• Working closely with cross-functional teams and partners to develop our on-demand build strategy, warehousing solutions, in-field execution and technical expertise
• In partnership with the Business Migration team this position will structure our process and schedule to deliver a predictive production level of business migrations in penny communities
• This role will be responsible for creating an end-to-end process for copper migrations. Working with our partners to create a process that flows from sales to an on-demand build process
• A proven team player with a proactive, collaborative, and strategic mindset would be a great fit

Qualifications

• You have a passion for working across teams to drive towards a solution that supports the ultimate goal and brings clarity to hypotheses
• You have in-depth knowledge of the TELUS wireline business & or Business sales and can deploy this knowledge to support our retirement strategy
• You thrive under ambiguity and complexity while having a knack for creating clarity
• You are an expert in project management methodologies, principles and practice
• You enjoy building relationships across stakeholder groups

Great-to-haves

• In-depth understanding of the TELUS business, particularly wireline and/or products and services
• Bachelor/Master of Business, Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience
• PMP or certified Scrum Master
