Job Description
Adecco is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join one of Canada's largest petroleum refiners in Calgary, AB. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a renowned company and make a significant impact in managing the progression of a large project or a portfolio of remediation sites.


  • Job type: Full-time | 1-Year Contract
  • Shifts: Monday - Friday | 40 hours / week
  • Location: Calgary, AB

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supervising activities of contractors/consultants.
  • Collaborating with the Functional Expertise Group to initiate procurement actions, evaluate contractor proposals, approve expenditures, and ensure work execution meets standards.
  • Managing the progression of a large project or a portfolio of remediation sites, including planning, stewardship, and execution.
  • Supporting the Environmental Solutions Region Strategist in developing consistent life cycle cost, planning, budgeting, and reserve strategies.
  • Assisting with field execution support for commercial transactions, claims, and litigation.
  • Participating in emergency response activities to minimize risk exposure.
  • Utilizing the Project Management Dashboard (PMD) to provide necessary information and updates.
  • Ensuring remediation systems comply with design standards, regulatory permits, and are maintained effectively and safely.
  • Supporting Senior Project Manager as required.
  • Providing support in public relations interactions.
  • Assessing site-specific risks, prioritizing actions, and developing risk management plans.


Requirements and Qualifications:


  • 5-10 years of project management experience within the Oil & Gas (Greenfield/Brownfield) or construction industry.
  • Preferred university degree in engineering, geology, sciences, or technical background.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of LPS (Loss Prevention System), OIMS (Operations Integrity Management System), and CIMS (Controls Integrity Management System).
  • Environmental consultant background with experience in health, safety, and environmental solutions.
  • Willingness to travel periodically.
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
