GSL is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Religious Education (RE) for a secondary school located in the heart of Romford. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that encourage critical thinking, reflection, and open-mindedness.
• Provide constructive feedback and assess students' progress regularly to inform their learning journey.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the RE curriculum, ensuring its alignment with national standards and the school's ethos.
• Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Religious Education, catering to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their opinions and exploring different religious perspectives.

Requirements:

• Commitment to promoting tolerance, respect, and understanding among students of different faiths and beliefs.
• Experience in delivering engaging and effective RE lessons, preferably within a secondary school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• A genuine passion for teaching RE and a strong understanding of religious beliefs, practices, and ethical issues.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Religious Studies or a related field.
