Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects to ensure projects are completed according to the prescribed budgets, timelines, and quality standard. The position will report to the CFO.


Duties:

  • Manage tenant contractor requests during tenant fit-out stage of new commercial projects
  • Actively manage all assigned projects to ensure delivered on schedule, within budget and to required quality specifications
  • Attend biweekly site meetings and represent the owner accordingly
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Commercial to source, negotiate and hire all consultants and contractors
  • Responsible for green-fielding project portfolios under direction from management
  • Prepare and follow up on a deficiency report by way of inspection of construction. Coordinates with designer/engineers/contractors to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with relevant standards and design documents
  • Responsible for project planning including establishing project objectives, policies, procedures, performance standards, risk analysis, quality control, project communication and flow of information
  • Review tenant drawings for conformance with base building plans and specifications
  • Oversee and direct restoration of all assigned projects
  • Investigate damage, accidents or delays at project sites and take corrective action as required
  • Work closely with the property management team to coordinate an organized, least disruptive impact of projects to tenants
  • Has oversight on all subcontractors
  • Liaise with City officials and other stakeholders (buildings inspectors, property standards, insurance) as required



Requirements:

  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
  • Post-secondary education, ideally a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Architectural Technology, Project Management, or equivalent
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Teams)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with customers, tenants, vendors and/or business partners
  • Open to learning, developing new skills/knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the Construction, Commercial/Multifamily residential and/or mixed-use Real Estate development industry
