Project Manager, Alberta Land Surveyor

Our fun and collaborative Alberta Geomatics team is currently seeking a Project Manager, Alberta Land Surveyor, to work with us in Calgary, Edmonton or Grande Prairie. The primary purpose of this role is for client service while maintaining and improving the work environment within the GeoVerra Team.  This position has significant impact with external clients and internal team members, and therefore needs to be connected and live out the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values through actions and results.

What You Will Do

• Demonstrate an understanding of all regulatory and technical requirements for your projects.
• Certify and take professional responsibility for surveys performed.
• Conduct field safety audits as part of our safety program commitments.
• Actively participate in and contribute on an on-going basis to GeoVerra’s Health, Safety and Environment Program.
• Manage client expectations and ensure project deliverables, schedules and budget objectives are met.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed.
• Maintain active and professional communication with external clients, internal clients and staff.
• Manage project financial requirements including timely and accurate invoicing.
• Plan and execute projects for clients within the upstream, oil and gas, pipeline, and pipeline integrity industries.
• Improve profitability of projects through coordination, schedule and scope management.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Will Bring

• Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, B.Sc. in Geomatics or related discipline.
• 5+ years of previous project management experience;
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leaderships skills and the ability to work effectively and competently with people at all levels in the organization.
• Alberta Land Surveyor designation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Windows, MS Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong awareness of project budget, scope and primary tasks to maintain project schedules.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across Alberta as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Canada Land Surveyor or other provincial Land Surveyor designations considered an asset.
• Ability to work without supervision, effective time management and strong organizational skills.
