IMAC Engineer


Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for an IMAC Engineer with strong DELL product experience including VMAX, Powermax and Isilon systems to place at our client.


Terms: 6 month contract


Location: on site required 100% including travel.

Project Details:


DLE will be responsible for delivering infrastructure deployment services to our customers including the physical installation of hardware and the logical configuration of operating systems and software products either as the sole person and/or as part of a team. DLE will be expected to consume training quickly and start deploying our products in a short period of time.


Candidate Profile:


  • Secret Clearance – Canadian Citizen
  • Role includes up to 75% travel, 25% remote on average. Must provide own vehicle for local travel
  • Must have their own transportation for local work
  • Overnighting – Hoteling


Required Skills:


Required Skills


  • Any experience with ECS and/or Dell backup systems of Data Domain and IDPA a plus.
  • Required - Experienced installing and configuring network switches
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Required - Physical installation and configuration of Dell PowerScale / Isilon systems (includes racking of hardware, configuring onsite and setting remote connectivity, etc.)
  • Must have 5+ years’ experience
  • Normal business hours is the standard schedule, however some after hours and weekend work will be required (as scheduled).
  • Experience with installing and configuring Fiber Channel switches
  • Role includes up to 75% travel, 25% remote on average. Must provide own vehicle for local travel.
  • Role consideration Canadian Citizen either with clearance or can get clearance
  • Strong Customer service skills
  • Unquenchable desire to learn new technologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to perform onsite physical installation services as part of role
  • Any Experience installing, configuring, administering Microsoft & Linux operating systems a plus
  • Right to Hire
  • Travel is usually by vehicle, but some air travel is possible.
  • Experience with SAN storage arrays like Unity and PowerStore a plus
  • Required - Physical installation and Configuration of Dell storage systems PowerMax and VMAX (Includes racking, power on, loading Bin file, setting up remote connectivity, etc.)


Resource must provide own transportation for local work. When it comes time to traveling outside the local area the resource will need a Credit Card to pay for expenses upfront and submit for actual reimbursement.
