Company Overview
Office Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Contract Duration: 12 Months, 5 days on, 2 days off. Mon to Fri 40 Hrs per week. In office.
Language: English.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire and obtain access/lease, steward, monetize and/or divest surface and/or subsurface rights to deliver/protect value and mitigate risk across the asset life cycle, and provide advice on best practices and strategic cross-functional opportunities. As a Land Advisor, the candidate would be responsible for stewarding, administering, and monetizing Upstream subsurface rights to deliver/protect value and mitigate risk across the asset life cycle.
  • Acquire, trade, monetize or divest asset rights to deliver value.
  • Negotiate and manage claim/dispute mitigation and resolution.
  • Manage and sustain external relationships relevant to own portfolio (e.g., government officials, land owners, service providers and partners)
  • Analyze, manage and steward contracts, as needed (e.g., acreage and risk management, and compliance).
  • Provide guidance to support development and execution of business strategies/plans.
  • Develop, negotiate and execute new commercial agreements (e.g., leases and right-of-ways), obtaining all functional alignment, as required.
  • Provide litigation support.
  • Coordinate and/or determine land ownership, evaluate risks, and cure title defects. Manage and coordinate contract personnel (field & in-house).
  • Develop, prioritize and recommend commercial concepts/structures for the acquisition and/or monetization of a business opportunity for new and existing assets.
Education/Experience
Knowledge and experience with title, court house, alignment sheets, easement and acquisition documents. Proficient in commercial negotiation, influence, internal and external relationship management. 5 to 10 years experience on a similar role.
