Procom is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager on behalf of our client for a full-time permanent position in Calgary, AB.

Project Manager Job Details:

• Collaboration with technical leads, developers, product management, and quality assurance is also a key aspect of this position.
• In this role, they play a crucial role in initiating projects, defining and structuring a deliverable-based plan, leading cross-functional teams to create business value and achieve strategic objectives.
• To fulfill this role, the IT Project Manager must uphold processes, facilitate planning and execution of regular release cycles, and oversee coordination of software development across multiple specialized teams within the organization.
• The responsibilities of the IT Project Manager involve leading large, complex, and multi-phased initiatives that deliver Product/Tech and Business & Operations Capabilities from our clients team

Project Manager Main Responsibilities:

• Help determine optimal resource allocations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs balancing the business needs versus constraints.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
• Work with the senior leadership team to understand long-term capabilities/initiatives that align with organizational/functional goals.
• Oversee maintenance of project repositories for documentation, tracking, and other resource material for effect reference by the teams.
• Create regular reporting and tracking artifacts.
• Clearly articulate and communicate project status to leadership.
• Confer with technical leads, product management, and partners in all aspects of planning and tracking.
• Define the schedule for product delivery through a company-wide cadence.

Project Manager Mandatory Skills:

• More than 5 years of overall experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project/program management addressing business needs and outcomes.
• Experience using one or more tools such as Jira, Confluence, TargetProcess, TFS, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Project.
• Exposure to large, multi-team technical projects/initiatives directly addressing end customers' pain points/business outcomes.
• Ability and previous success in handling multiple simultaneous projects.
• A good understanding of Project Management methodologies, particularly Agile methodologies, and know-how in implementing and adapting them.
• Relevant academic background, preferably at the bachelor’s level.
