Role: Project Expeditor/Coordinator

Term: 6 Months

Start: Immediate

Location: Calgary, AB onsite

:

• Responsible for project tracking tools, including tracking design, material, construction schedules and financial performance.
• Coordinate project schedules, meetings, submittals.
• Work closely with client Operations to ensure detailed operational plans & schedules are prepared, communicated and managed
• Collaborate with internal team members to identify requirements, processes, gaps, and solutions to meet client stakeholder needs.
• Prepare regular project reports for Management
• Develop project plans. Track and communicate the status of activities and project milestones,
• Manage and coordinate change activities.
• Assist the Project Manager with overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality and project status.
• Communication and resolution of project issues between Prime Consultant and Construction Manager.
• Ensure all commitments are met in accordance with the goals and objectives of the project.
• Assist with project closure activities.
• Draft agendas, attend and minute project meetings.
• Ensure projects follow Project Delivery Framework processes and requirements
• Prepare reports on project progress. Maintain accurate documentation using departmental templates, standards or related processes.
• Prepare project presentations as/when required
• Coordination of construction activities within operational spaces; noise, dust, modified hours, shutdowns; security must be considered and coordinated with affected client partners.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and solution design through interviews, requirements workshops, existing documentation analysis, and site visits.
• Lead process discussions to develop and implement solutions to benefit stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for project repository
• Assist in developing project charters with internal clients, report progress to internal clients, supervisors, and other stakeholders as required
• Provide project management support, including tracking and reporting on various aspects of the projects with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor schedules, estimate design and construction durations, set and communicate project milestones

Requirements:

• Post-Secondary education in Engineering, Architecture or a Technical School graduate in a Construction related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of life cycle and PM methodologies.
• 2+ years of progressiveconstruction, inspection or design experience.
• Professional designation such as EIT or CAPM will be considered an asset
• Experience with contracts, tenders, and project close out.
• Experience inengineering design, cost estimating, construction or inspection
• Knowledge of contracting and trade methods/practices and products.
• Some experience in reading technical specifications, design/construction drawings, schematics and details.
