Relationship Manager/Senior Manager (Corporate Banking)

Our client is an international bank operating across Canada. They are seeking a talented Relationship Manager / Senior Relationship Manager to join their Montreal branch, where you'll be responsible for developing and managing relationships with National Accounts/Corporate Banking clients in the Québec market (especially in the Infrastructure and Energy sectors) and increase the scale of the Bank's balance sheet.

As a Relationship Manager,/Snr Relationship Manager your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the bank and the management to build and maintain a high market profile in the market with both internal and external contacts by planning and completing relationship activities which generate sales opportunities and / or provide value to the customers
• Conducting thorough credit due diligence and liaising with team for compliance monitoring and reporting actions
• Directing day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicating the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
• Using strong knowledge of the Bank’s global products and services to ensure the banking needs of each relationship are well understood and documented
• Developing relationship with identified target customers, and leading the direct selling of credit and non-credit products to customers
• Assisting the bank and the management to promote the development and growth of the Corporate Banking portfolio in the Québec market to maximize business development opportunities for sustainable growth

To Qualify For This Role, You Will Need

• 5+ years of corporate banking experience with National Accounts or Capital Market clients (Large private or public enterprises with minimum annual revenue of C$1 billion).
• An expert knowledge of the corporate banking marketplace in Québec. A thorough knowledge of the key industries and prospects in this region. Experienced service for major large companies and competitive positioning within the market, and familiarity with Loan Syndication market are must.
• Very strong communication skills in English (oral and written) are must.
• An undergraduate degree or graduate degree in finance, accounting or economics, alongside professional work experience in National Accounts lending, Corporate Finance lending or Corporate Banking lending.
