Reporting to the CEO, the Marketing & Strategic Relationship Manager is responsible for supporting the strategic PR efforts of Icicle, building relationships with food processing associations, resellers, and existing clients. The main responsibilities of this position includes; creating and executing strategic public relations plans. You will liaise with creative writers and sales.
- Prepare export marketing plans to extend business in identified priority markets and leverage available funding programs
- Research and prepare entries for award programs to reinforce Icicle's award-winning status
- Manage social media accounts on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram to generate a dynamic company presence on social media
- Update the company website and review website analytics regularly to maintain on-site SEO to increase website traffic
- Develop relationships with food processing associations to generate awareness of our technology
- Execute digital promotions/advertisements related to export marketing plans and complete reporting as necessary
- Oversee media relations to build Icicle's profile by building relationships with key industry media and industry influencers, pitch content produced in-house, preparing press releases, and seeking out thought leadership opportunities
- Create compelling product and brand messaging to maximize inbound lead velocity
- Identify and develop relationships with food safety consultancies who may be suitable resellers
- Create and execute PR campaigns that strengthen Icicle’s reputation in the food industry
- Strengthen relationships with existing clients, and build referral relationships
- Lead content marketing planning and creative asset production, including updates and creation of new marketing collateral
- Strong presentation skills

- Experience developing corporate brands

- Strong user-level computer proficiency
- Empathetic and approachable
- High productivity while working remotely, strong work ethic, self-motivated
- Strong media relationships and an in-depth understanding of the digital landscape
- At least two years of public relations experience
- Food industry experience
