POSITION: Relationship Manager
HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, additional hours may be required on occasion
REPORTS TO: CEO
Mission
Warm, authentic, outgoing, passionate, and inspiring. These are the attributes we are looking for in the individual who will help build a national community of members and sponsors. The Relationship Manager heads the development and implementation of WEOC’s engagement strategy. The position plays a critical role in expanding WEOC’s membership and sponsorship pool and is responsible for inspiring and securing sponsors, leading member cultivation, attraction, and stewardship activities by communicating with current and prospective member organizations. An integral part of a highly collaborative team, this role requires the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including individuals, WEOC member organization and corporate partners.
About the Women’s Enterprise Organizations of Canada
Women’s Enterprise Organizations of Canada supports a diverse membership of organizations that directly impact the growth and success of women entrepreneurs. Our goal is to ensure that our members have the tools needed to support their clients by delivering opportunities to network with peers across the country, access an innovative library of tools and resources, and participate in regular live and virtual cross-country events. Through our national network of Loan Fund Partners, WEOC also delivers the National Loan Program for women entrepreneurs as they start, scale, grow and operate their businesses. Our members support women entrepreneurs by providing an array of services, including business skills development, access to financing, networking, mentoring and export opportunities. Our loan fund partners also provide wrap-around services to clients who receive funding through the WEOC National Loan Program.
KEY ROLE
Sponsorship management:
- Write sponsorship packages.
- Assess WEOC’s program offerings as matches for possible sponsors.
- Implement a 2-year sponsorship plan with tactics, metrics, and timelines.
- Research potential sponsors to gain insight into their needs and beliefs to identify strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Establish, maintain, and foster relationships with corporate partners, by networking with potential and current sponsors to nurture their interest in WEOC.
- Oversee and develop a portfolio with a personal revenue target.
Membership management:
- Liaise with existing members and identify potential members within the women’s enterprise ecosystem.
- Build the membership base by developing meaningful connections with organizations across Canada that support women entrepreneurs.
- Develop and implement membership growth and retention strategies.
- Plan, write, and send re gular communications to members and other ecosystem partners.
Planning and Administration
- Support CEO in annual budget and planning process.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain an accurate members and sponsors database.
- Support the development and execution of organizational priority campaigns and initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Solid relationship building and influencing skills, and the ability to effectively manage through change and growth.
- 5-7 years' experience in revenue development with proven track record in sponsorship.
- Post-secondary education in with a focus in marketing, business, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated professionalism, high degree of integrity and ethical conduct.
- CFRE designation an asset.
- Written and oral French an asset.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Experience within a non-profit organization.
- Must be located in Canada and legally entitled to work here.
