Position Title: Banking Applications Tester
Location: Edmonton, AB (Remote)
Type: Contract
The Position
Our Edmonton-headquartered financial services client is seeking a contract tester to join their team! Reporting to the Sr. Manager, IS Quality Assurance, you work in close collaboration with other quality assurance staff and with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of banking applications and forms through comprehensive testing and analysis. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, amd designers to identify, report and resolve and issues or defects. This is a 6 month contract that has a posibility of extension.
What You'll Do

• Create and maintain test data, test environments and test documentation
• Update testing procedures and test cases based on changing requirements or identified issues
• Document and track defects, and work closely with developers to investigate and resolve issues
• Collaborate with development team and stakeholders to understand test requirements and ensure test coverage
• Develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts to ensure thorough testing of banking applications and forms
• Other duties as may be required.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing and provide support during releases

Mandatories

• Experience testing Autoforms, Adobe forms and/or LiveCycle
• Experience in planning and estimating testing efforts
• Ability to interpret user requirements, detailed technical and functional specifications and apply this information to plan and develop test scenarios and cases
• Experience with SDLC- Atlassian tool set using Zephyr Enterprise, Jira and Confluence
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prioritizes test cases and executes according to plaIdentifies, logs, and tracks defects
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Quality Testing
• Experience with testing banking applications
• Experience working in a fast pace environment
• Experience with Visual Studio (TFS) and Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) is an asset
• Experience with SDLC for waterfall, iterative and agile methodologies
• Excellent time management skills
