Regional Director, Strategic Accounts, Ontario

Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Accounts, the Regional Director, will be highly influential in broadening growth in overall business acquisition results with Canada Life. As brand ambassador, you will initiate and maintain a strong relationship with our Independent Distribution firms. You will champion and implement strategic initiatives to the channel’s many influential distribution partners.

The Regional Director will ensure that priority initiatives are appropriately planned, budgeted and executed in a way that helps accelerate sales generating opportunities. As an integral part of the regional team, you will help in defining and rolling out the mandate, key objectives and working model in order to amplify growth and market competitiveness.

The Regional Director will work closely with independent distribution firm’s leadership within the region, internal distribution partners in addition to stakeholders across Advisory Network and Canada Life.

What You Will Do

• Leverage data analytics and industry intel to inform strategic program development, tactical plans and dialogue with senior leadership
• Alongside internal partners, participate in external and internal events and meetings to showcase the Canada Life offering
• As the conduit between our clients and internal stakeholders, help to solve problems that inhibit ease of doing business
• Coordinate and maintain strong relations between wealth and insurance wholesale teams and independent distribution leaders, and their respective sales teams.
• Work with distribution partner senior leadership, channel leadership and internal Shared Services leaders to maximize the support and the impact we deliver
• Work with key leaders and project experts to help plan and execute key initiatives designed to advance the growth and market share of Canada Life in the independent marketplace
• Contribute to all pertinent internal initiatives and planning to ensure Independent Distribution’s needs, nuances and objectives are clearly understood

What You Will Bring

• Experience in the life insurance and wealth industry and how to apply that knowledge and experience in a distribution setting
• Adaptable to react quickly to customer needs
• Organized with proven ability to creatively solve problems and develop actionable initiatives to capitalize on opportunities
• Life licensed is an asset
• CFP, CLU, CHS designations is an asset
• Must have an Ontario drivers license as some travel to clients and events will be required
• Effective communicator and collaboration across internal and external audiences including verbal, written and presentation skills (public speaking ability)
• Energy and passion for creating meaningful outcomes that can influence the trajectory and growth of a distribution channel
• High emotional intelligence and demonstrated people skills with a results orientation
