Pay: $81,000 - $97,000 CAD

The Role


Joining the Business Development team as our Business Development Strategist, you will lead internal process optimizations and drive new partnerships from start to finish. You will elevate team processes and enhance the client experience through thought leadership, recommendations, and innovation. You'll improve sales materials, educate clients, and develop collateral. The Business Development Strategist will contribute to qualification criteria, manage information, support inside sales, own client onboarding, foster collaboration, create content, and enhance sales processes. Your contributions will drive client success, people development, company growth, and team success. Your focus will of responsibilities will be:


  • Domain: Drive operational excellence and enhance client engagement through streamlined processes, comprehensive support, and effective communication.
  • Company: Drive business growth and optimize the sales process by cultivating valuable client relationships, improving sales infrastructure, qualifying leads effectively, closing deals, and collaborating with Performance teams to showcase our accomplishments.
  • People: Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and effective sales practices to drive success in partnership engagements and enhance internal and external communication.
  • Client: Drive efficient and effective sales processes, from qualification to onboarding, while ensuring accurate information management, seamless transitions, and alignment between teams. You will deliver exceptional client experiences and maximize sales opportunities.


We're committed to delivering an exceptional onboarding experience that will create a strong foundation for your launch in this role:


  • In your first 60 days you'll clearly understand the customer journey, from first interaction to onboarding, and start to play an active role in internal communication. You'll also have contributed to a sales call, owning the upfront pieces (i.e. who Thrive is) as well as the evaluation pieces (i.e. ask client questions regarding project feasibility).
  • In your first 30 days you'll build a basic understanding of how Thrive positions itself in the market, Thrive's client evaluation criteria, as well as familiarize yourself with the various tools, processes and communication spaces that enable you to effectively collaborate within the organization.
  • In your first 90 days you'll have autonomously handled all written client communication, referencing existing internal documentation and stakeholders as needed, as well as played an active role in a client follow up discussion. You'll be able to effectively execute all administrative functions across the various tools and technologies that we leverage.


Qualifications


  • You have navigated and led multiple difficult client facing situations in which involved addressing account errors, account mismanagement, and resolving client issues resulting in mitigating risk for the company.
  • You have proposed solutions to mitigate multiple client problems proactively or address business problems that have come up resulting in an augmentation of agency capabilities.
  • You have been in a lead client facing / account manager role for multiple client accounts investing over $100k+ USD monthly in media campaign spend.
  • You have experience compiling sales proposals and requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • You have success upselling additional products / services to multiple existing clients (based on client needs) resulting in additional revenue of $50k+ USD per month.
  • You have experience making compelling cases with successful outcomes to key internal stakeholders (from Specialist to VP) to change the course for client and agency benefit.
