Job Description

The Business Development Manager will develop trusting relationships and act as a Consultant with strategic accounts to ensure a successful partnership in the future.


There will be a focus on expanding relationships with designated accounts and create new opportunities for the sales team. Communication and collaboration with Account Managers, and Regional Sales Manager will be a key to success. The BDM will meet with and cultivate relationships with identified key-customers in designated markets to facilitate moving business objectives forward and strengthen channel/market presence.

They will serve as a plan creator for large scale customer-based products and will be responsible for facilitating the proposal and implementation of new programs, technologies, and growth opportunities.



Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to continuously improve their customers experiences and recommend solutions for improvements
  • Expands the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Partners with Marketing to provide feedback on resource effectiveness, customer needs, messaging and new tool development
  • Knowledge on the best practices, market trends, consumer trends, and the competitive environment
  • Manage communications between key customers and internal Merz teams
  • Collaborating with the Account Manager Team to maximize profit by selling
  • Analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
  • Analyzing customer data to provide customer relationship management and recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Build & develop a trusting relationship between key customers and Merz
  • Provides training in all categories based on the business’s needs; phone skills, sales training etc.
  • Ability to have thought provoking, challenging and direct conversations with decision makers both internally and externally
  • To provide benchmarking; labour cost; revenue, P&L, review incentive comp etc.
  • Have a deep understanding of the customers goals and objectives
  • Act as a resource to focus on growing and developing existing customers practice

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Sales experience in a related field/industry knowledge
  • Effective time management
  • Skills; Negotiation, Strong interpersonal skills, Computer Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manager strategic accounts
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing ,Business or Sales
