One of North America’s largest buying and marketing groups, is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager (RBDM) who will be responsible for analyzing an assigned territory and implementing an appropriate development plan and strategies. As an RBDM, you will work closely with their independent retailer members to understand their unique business challenges and provide them with the necessary resources and solutions to help them thrive. You will be invested in the success of their members and work tirelessly to help them tap into the resources they need to succeed. You will focus on commodities such as appliances, furniture, bedding, home decor, consumer electronics, computer, photography, floor covering, and outdoor industries. DESCRIPTION
The Regional Business Development Manager’s role is to:
- Nurture the existing relationships with members and anticipate and meet the needs of our members to help them grow their businesses.
- Analyze the assigned territory and implement appropriate development plans and strategies to increase the number of retail members;
- Support organic growth by encouraging current members to benefit from the full range of service offerings and incite conversion into the banners or networks;
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a hunter passionate about outside sales with a proven track record of success. You need to have proven experience in generating leads and closing new accounts as well as knowledge of and interest in digital marketing. You also need a Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing, ideally coupled with 3 years of related work experience in an outside sales role. You will work out of a home office but need to be able to travel extensively, with your own car and valid drivers license, in the assigned region ( approximately 3-4 days a week).
