What to expect


As a Business Development Associate at Verto, you will play a key role in ensuring that the business development team can sustainably deliver on our ambitious goals to transform healthcare. Your role will be critical in helping the organization monitor and accelerate its competitive position in established and emerging markets. You will have the opportunity to influence, guide, design and manage Verto’s go-to market and market awareness strategies and play a key role to establish key processes to accelerate our growth.


You will help the team by establishing strong analytic practices to support our business development function, offering data-driven insight to shape our go-to-market pursuits, pricing models and investors in emerging markets. You will provide value to the organization as a whole by leveraging data to inform our long-term market positioning, revenue growth and scalability.


Responsibilities
  • Develop pricing strategies and recommendations based on market research and testing
  • Identify new and compelling partnership opportunities to scale Verto’s reach across the health sector and manage the company’s existing partner relationships
  • Competitor Analysis
  • Go To Market & Segmentation
  • Business Development:
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Director, Business Development on emerging business development needs, including but not limited to:
  • Streamline and lead execution of a competitor analysis framework to be updated at least quarterly
  • Works with Digital Marketing Coordinator to develop compelling client case studies to increase market exposure and revenues
  • Track, analyze, influence, and communicate key metrics to support ongoing partnership management and identify new opportunities to fill product gaps or create net new business opportunities that deliver value to Verto clients
  • Response to procurement opportunities (e.g. RFI, RFP, RFQs)
  • Partnership Relationship Management
  • Conduct research on existing and emerging head winds and regulations (e.g. changes in interoperability requirements, changes in payer incentives) that may support emerging business opportunities
  • Create and maintain customer segmentation model with client facing teams
  • Prepare, streamline and distribute contracts and amendments according to partner- and client-specific needs
  • Support the development of partnership strategies that align with product and business goals and create the partner management framework to implement and manage these strategies.
  • Monitor performance of go to market execution based on feedback from market efforts
  • Strategically collect and analyze complex data on target customers, competitors and market conditions by means of surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, and third party research to inform and refine go to market strategies
  • Support Sr Manager, Business Development with strategies and materials that would strengthen relationships with Verto’s partners
  • Use data-driven approaches to update and refine pricing strategies for Verto product suite as required
  • Design methodologies to gather market intelligence needed to support sales and marketing initiatives
  • Support the contracting process and deal negotiations with clients and partners
  • Creation and maintenance of sales collateral (pitch decks, one-pagers, white papers)
  • Sales and Business Development pipeline maintenance and reporting within existing CRM platform (Hubspot)
  • Build and strengthen relationships with Verto’s partners
  • Leverage understanding of competitive landscape to inform internal dependent teams (e.g. Product, Sales) of opportunities for refinement and improvement


Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience


  • Preferred experience in Healthcare
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MBA Preferred
  • 1-2 years’ relevant experience in business development or similar field preferred
  • Working knowledge of CRM programs (Hubspot or Salesforce)
  • Start-up experience (preferred)
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research
  • Proficiency in Excel
