Job Description

Job Purpose:

Join a World Class Investing Firm in the Enterprise Project Management Office on a large Portfolio Management System selection and implementation for all Alternative Asset Classes. Provide support to large projects and work streams through the initiation and delivery of key projects focusing on the management and tracking of issues/risks, reporting on the health of all elements of the project plan, and support the development of project artifacts.

This role will ensure the regular updating of project plans and status reports, as well assisting in the timely communication with project stakeholders related to status, decisions, risks, and issues. This includes managing and coordinating activities to ensure that the goals and target outcomes of the project are

accomplished on schedule and within budget according to plan and approved Business Case. The ideal candidate has experience delivery Technology to large Front Office/Investing Business teams with cross-functional impact.


Accountabilities:

  • Be a lead and driver of complex Change Management across the firm
  • Ensures that documentation and artifacts are maintained throughout the course of the project
  • Chair and facilitate meetings with key project stakeholders where appropriate
  • Embrace and demonstrate high ethical standards
  • Supports in development of project artifacts, including status reports, project plan, charters, implementation plans and post implementation reviews (e.g. lessons learned)
  • Report on the health of all elements of the project plan in adherence to EPMO reporting guidelines (as needed)
  • Report to the program manager and other key stakeholders, as planned or as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of clear and effective communications to project team and stakeholders with respect to status, related changes, and implementations
  • May be assigned to lead small projects or workstream components through delivery
  • Manage project resource capacity plans
  • Collaborate with other project management resources to align and monitor interdependencies across various projects
  • Contribute towards maturity of the EPMO
  • Ensure project control procedures, guidelines, and policies within a program of related projects are executed.
  • Manage the risk process including identification and documentation of potential risks, development of mitigation strategies & contingency plans, reporting / visibility on all risks, and tracking / escalating risks to resolution
  • Review, analyze, and document the impact of issues and apply measures to resolve them while escalating major issues within the governance framework
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the Client and all vendor partners
  • Assist and act as lead on vendor contracting and RFP processes


Know-How:

  • Responds well to ambiguity and works efficiently to clarify situations and outcomes
  • Adhere to the Client Project Guidelines including their Internal Project Framework (IPF) requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, practices, and methodologies, with the ability to recommend tools and templates.
  • Experienced IT and Data PM with Delivery experience
  • Able to manage and hold multiple vendors accountable at one time
  • Demonstrable experience actively building relationships across teams
  • Employ a spirit of "get it done together"; sharing practices and ideas
  • Can effectively present and consolidate project status reports for various management levels
  • Has experience in Financial Services and ideally physical/private/alts asset classes and investments
  • Proven Track Record of Delivery and Change Management; coupled with 10+ years experience
  • Demonstrable experience in learning from both success and failure
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data including financial management and forecasting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experienced with Executive facing forums and facilitation
  • Good problem solving and innovative thinking skills, must be able to articulate solutions, ideas and recommendations through effective issue resolution
