The opportunity


We are seeking an Bilingual Experienced Hire Recruiter.


We call our human resources group the Talent Team, and this reflects how important our people are to the success of the EY organization. Working with the Talent Team, you’ll help develop and execute our recruiting strategy, which provides the programs, measures and tools that help EY employees achieve their goals.


Working as a valued member of Canada’s Talent Team, the Experienced Hire Recruiter will have the opportunity to deliver a best-in-class candidate experience and identify talent directly for EY. The Recruiter will act as a business partner to internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to implement best practice strategies to deliver end-to-end recruitment processes across their portfolio.


Your Key Responsibilities


The Bilingual Experienced Hire Recruiter will spend most of their time independently driving the planning, coordination and delivery of recruitment for the specific service lines and sub service lines that make up their portfolio. Partners, Directors and Senior Managers will look to you for best practice, market insights and the ability to source exceptional talent. While communicating with potential new joiners, you will act as an ambassador, embodying the EY culture and reputation.


Core elements of this role include


  • Demonstrating an understanding of assessment methods to ensure all candidates presented meet the technical job requirements and fit the EY culture.
  • Delivering appropriate recruitment plans based on an understanding of recruitment methods and concepts
  • Developing and executing on appropriate sourcing strategies, paying particular attention to diversity initiatives and creative sourcing techniques.
  • Supporting and collaborating with the practice and Canada Talent Team by using sound business judgment and outstanding communication skills to assist in the ultimate hiring decision.
  • Developing an understanding of the business, the external market and trends that impact our practice, such as understanding key players, mapping of relevant skillsets and maintaining a pipeline of ready to hire candidates.
  • Leveraging the firm’s recruitment tools, processes and embracing the branding strategy in the recruitment lifecycle.


To qualify for the role you must have


  • Experience recruiting for financial services, assurance, tax, legal or consulting professionals is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years full cycle recruiting experience
  • Professional level bilingualism in French and English
  • Knowledge of Firm recruitment policies and processes as well as a broad understanding of the firm's service lines.
  • Experience recruiting candidates through a variety of sources including job boards, LinkedIn recruitment portals, referrals and pinpoint recruiting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume environment i.e., an average workload of 35 to 40 requisitions
  • A university degree and related business experience.
  • The ability to quickly ramp up to full account management of a recruitment portfolio.


Ideally, you’ll also have


  • Experience working in a professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of professionals, credentials and skill sets related to tax, law and consulting i.e., CPA, CA In-depth Tax, MTax, LL.M., LLB, JD and MBA
