Canadian Health Labs (CHL) is a nationwide, rapidly growing healthcare solutions provider which leverages its unique ability of attracting specialised international and national sustainable HHR (healthcare human resources) to provide tailored solutions designed to support and improve the Canadian Healthcare System. CHL’s international recruitment arm provides long term sustainable HHR (healthcare human resources) to address macro economic issues in the Canadian Healthcare System.


Role Summary


The Physician Recruiter will be. The deployments vary in length covering both long term and locum posts across Canada. CHL specialises in these niche recruitment needs, as a result this is a results oriented fast growing business.


Ideally you possess a strong network of Physicians or have the ability to quickly develop one. You should be familiar with online and offline sourcing techniques, like networking at career events and searching for potential hires through resume databases and should also have advanced knowledge of sourcing techniques (including Boolean search).


Reporting Structure


This role will report to the Executive Director, National Talent and other Senior Executive Team members / designates.


Critical Accountabilities


  • Join social media groups and professional networks and interact with potential candidates
  • Represent and promote CHL as employer brand and employee value proposition at external recruitment events in a positive and professional manner
  • Present shortlisted candidates and provide detailed profile summaries
  • Map role criteria, define position description and document specifications
  • Track and identify prospective candidates using a variety of channels and use Boolean search to look for qualified candidates for hard-to-fill roles
  • Assess candidates to ensure qualification match, cultural fit and compatibility
  • Conduct benchmark research on compensation and benefits for various positions and seniority levels
  • Organise confidential interviews, follow-up reference checks
  • Offer guidance and facilitate the negotiation process through to its completion
  • Promote job posting through existing networks
  • Devise and carry out a targeted research strategy to attract and develop a pipeline of talented candidates for Physician positions


Qualification & Experience


  • The successful applicant must provide satisfactory criminal records check prior to beginning employment
  • Familiarity with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs)
  • Advanced knowledge of sourcing techniques (including Boolean search)
  • Excellent at both verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated good judgement, discretion and sensitivity to confidentiality
  • Time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple open roles simultaneously
  • Proven work experience sourcing Physicians in an agency or corporate environment
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing tools (e.g. resume databases and portfolio sites)
  • Skilled at negotiation, presentation, and execution
  • Excellent communication and persuasion abilities (particularly when making cold calls and sending recruiting emails)


Note: This role is in a virtual team environment and the role holder will need to have open availability. Evening and Weekend availability may be required from time to time.
