We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individual (Montreal based) to join our team as IT Support Volunteer for the John Molson School of Business (JMSB) International Case Competition (ICC) 2024. This not-for-profit event, recognized as the largest and oldest MBA case competition in the world, brings together 36 teams from universities around the globe for a weeklong competition in early January. As an IT Support Volunteer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of various technologies and contribute to the success of this prestigious event.

:

• Assist in managing and maintaining the event website, ensuring smooth functionality and seamless connectivity with other systems.
• Provide technical support for the mobile app, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance on both Android and iOS platforms.
• Provide technical assistance for the TV scoreboards, ensuring proper integration with the event manager API to display scores, matchups, and case results.
• Support the Event Manager system, a PHP-based system utilizing Laravel 7.x, responsible for handling the competition's core business logic and serving as a communication hub between various components.

Technical Requirements:

Website: Wordpress

Latest version. Wordpress is connected to the event manager via an API. The parts that are connected are: school registrations, judges registrations, volunteers registrations, matchups, and scoreboards.

Mobile app: React

Version 18.2.0. The mobile app is deployed on both Android and iOS using React Native (Version 0.71.1).

Event manager: PHP - Laravel

Version 7.x. The event manager (EM) is the core of this system. It handles all the business logic, has an API that communicates with other parts of the system, and has an admin dashboard.

TV scoreboards: HTML/CSS

These are just HTML/CSS scoreboards which connect to the event manager via an API and pull the scores, matchups, and case results.
